For each price, implied probability = 100 / odds. Subtracting 100 from the total of the three probabilities gives the excess built into the prices (the overround). In basic normalisation each probability is divided by that total.
Enter three prices to see the implied probabilities, their total and a simple distribution with the margin removed. The calculation runs only in your browser.
The 1X2 margin is the part of the summed implied probabilities (1 / odds) of the three prices that exceeds 100%. The calculator shows the raw probabilities, the margin and the normalised probabilities obtained by dividing each by the total. A normalised probability is a mathematical comparison, not the true probability of the result or a recommendation.
Enter three valid odds. The normalised distribution is not a model prediction.
For each price, implied probability = 100 / odds. Subtracting 100 from the total of the three probabilities gives the excess built into the prices (the overround). In basic normalisation each probability is divided by that total.
Removing the margin only gives a mathematical comparison. It does not produce the true probability of the outcome or a recommendation.
